April Membership Meeting
Thomas Deffet, 2024 Boys State representative, discussed what Boys State means to him. His inspiring words remind us of the importance of fostering the next generation of patriotic leaders within our community. Highlighting our commitment to honoring veterans, the Missouri War Medallion Program. Through this program, Missouri pays tribute to the brave men and women who have served our country with valor and distinction. Stay tuned for updates on upcoming ceremonies and initiatives. As we gear up for the future, nominations for Post leadership positions are now open. This is a crucial opportunity for members to shape the direction of our Post and ensure that our leadership reflects the values and aspirations of our community. We encourage all eligible members to participate in this democratic process. A warm welcome is extended to Melvin Beverlin, who has recently joined our Post. May 28, 2024, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Weston Veterans Memorial 18204 Library Dr, Weston, MO On Memorial Day, the American Legion, Weston Post 501 will honor the more than 1 million men and women who have lost their lives defending America since the Revolutionary War. The Memorial Address will be given by Major Zachary Layton. All Post Members are encouraged to assist with set up at 8:00 AM. |
Post Elections
Post Commander and Adjutant are accepting nomination for Post Officer positions. Nominations may be made for oneself or for other Post members in good standing.
A list of nominees shall be published no later than 14 May 2024.
At the May meeting, 21 May 2024, additional nominations may be made from the floor, nominees must be present.
